I Make Requests Rather Than Complain...

I've taken on this challenge, which I learned about from my all-time, always-inspiring, favourite blog, 37 Days. And oh.my.godess. It is the hardest thing I've ever taken on. (and that is a statement, NOT a complaint!) No, make that impossible (okay, there, now I start over again)WHICH I'm turning into I'mpossible...one no-complaints second at a time. I'm on Day 1 of Day 4. I think the longest I've gone so far is 5 hours. My goal is 37 days. he he he
It's changing me in ways I never anticipated. I'm seeing myself, my thoughts, my reality in a whole new light. Check it out and let me know what you think. More on that later...

I can see that would be a real challenge for most of us. It would really make me stop and think before I said anything, which would definitely be a GOOD thing! And my children would love it if I didn't complain about stuff being left around the house, etc. Maybe I'll have to try this.

J - I signed up in my head but asked her today if I can join for real. I'll let you knw what her response is! So keen for you to do it with me!!!
N - Yes, it is SO hard, but SO enlightening to be so aware of how much of what comes out of my mouth is actually said in the form of whining or complaining! I'm really enjoying it. I've also realized how using Nonviolent Communication and stating my feelings and my needs does not come across as whining/complaining and is SO much more effective! I'm still sharing my feelings, but in a constructive way -- that others can benefit from! Let me know how it goes for you if you give it a go!

I love the 37 Days blog!! (and I keep meaning to thank you for linking it to your blog and therefore introducing it to me. It never fails to inspire me, make me think and often draws tears as well)
I will join you all in being complaint free!

I love what Patti says (on 37 Days) about every day being day #1 (because i'm pretty sure I'm never going to get past day #1 at this rate) being a gift. I really do feel that way. It's funny listening to myself and all the complaints/whining that rolls out of me! he he he
